And the Winner Is..

Toilet Paper

After spending much time laboring over the selection of last year's winner, I've reached the conclusion that the process was valid. In explaining the process let me state that the winner is entirely determined by a whim. With such being the case, I feel it necessary to upgrade the list since more modern data is available. Once again, the winner must be an item that has changed the way we live. From the four corners of the earth, no product has changed society as we know it more than our winner.

So my choice as the winner of greatest discoveries (and the choice of the masses around the world) is the simple common product known as toilet paper! Whether camping or in the comfort of home, we all understand and appreciate the availability of our winner. If you doubt its importance in life, I invite you to spend one week without it. It is my promise that you and anyone around you will be much happier when your fast from TP is complete!

As an afterthought, it occurred to me that there are a variety of roles (sick pun 1) for our winner. Not only does it make the bathroom secure, it can second as a decorative device for those wishing to make a statement about someone else's house. It is also often used for filler in various circumstances. As we examine our data, the applications appear endless (another pun?).
